Win7 Library Tool to manage your Windows 7 built-in libraries

28 December 2009 4 views No Comment

Windows 7 libraries are a great way to organize information on your Windows 7–based system. However, Microsoft decided against exposing some really useful capabilities to users, like adding network locations. Microsoft supply a command line utility slutil.exe, candidate for the worst named executable in history. Win7 Library Tool, is free tool, which acts as a central management console for your libraries. Just about anything you need to adjust can be done with the Tool - adding additional folders to existing libraries, changing the default save location, changing icons, creating new libraries and deleting unneeded ones, and more. You can save entire configuration sets to a file - useful if you’re pondering a reformat and want to make sure your library setup survives the procedure.
